UPDATED: 8th January 2021

At the start of the 2020/21 season we gave you some top tips for getting your Fantasy League team in check for the Gameweeks ahead. We're back again with more highlights, tips and picks for the upcoming games.

COVID-19

The pandemic across the globe has played a massive part in football this season and recently it’s been reported that there have been 40 new coronavirus cases resulting in a number of postponed games, making it harder than ever to pick your fantasy team. That being said EQVVS are here to help with some quick tips to help you work your way up the leaderboard.

Who's On Form?

Man United's last loss came at the hands of Arsenal back on the 1st of November, and since then they have been unbeaten in 9 premier league games, putting them level on points with Liverpool with a game in hand. With Bruno and Rashford leading the charge they’re worth thinking about putting in the team.

Frank Lampard’s blues have struggled to replicate this form as they drop down to 9th place. This puts them just 3 points ahead of Arsenal who have been the joke of the season so far, but could that be changing soon?

Man City are another team on great form conceding just 2 goals in their last 7 premier league games. Has Pep finally fixed his defensive woes with John Stones stepping up to replace the regularly injured Laporte?

EQVVS Top Tips

Game Week 18

With only half the teams playing this game week it’s a good time to make the most out of your free hit! Man City and Tottenham have only conceded 13 and 15 goals respectively so far this season so it’s well worth including a couple defenders from both clubs.

In regards to attackers, looking at the Sky Sports power rankings (based on the last 5 games) Lacazette came in at number one with 5 goals in his last 4 games, but will he start? Another couple of players to keep an eye on are Bruno Fernandes, Anwar El Ghazi, and Marcus Rashford who have all been on great form and will likely be starting in game week 18.

Game Week 19

This is the first double game week for the 2020\21 season which will see a number of big clubs have two games. With this in mind, it’s worth thinking about using your triple captain if you haven’t already. If you haven’t got that gut feeling about one player tearing it up, why not play a safer option and use your bench boost?

Tips to help you to Fantasy Premier League success this season.

  1. Add Players to your watch list
  2. Don’t leave too much value on the bench
  3. Make transfers later in the week (but don’t forget!)
  4. Hold onto your chips, wait for those double Gameweeks
  5. Stick to your gut – don’t be persuaded by your mates to buy a player that they’re SURE will rise to stardom (it always ends badly)

Our Top Fantasy Picks

Midfielder

Must Have: Kevin De Bruyne | Manchester City | £11.5m

With 13 goals and 20 assists last time out, Kevin De Bruyne is the must have midfielder for any dream team. Grab those extra bonus points too by making him the team skipper.

Chance Buy: Harvey Barnes | Leicester |£7.0m

Barnes made his breakthrough last season with Leicester, scoring 6 goals and assisting with 8. Priced quite cheaply, he is a steal and will tot up some important points from midfield.

Striker

Must Have: Harry Kane | Tottenham Hotspur | £10.5m

Expensive at over £10million, but Kane should be the go to striker for all fantasy football teams. Last season he finished joint 6th top scorer but our predictions are he will be the main man this season!

Chance Buy: Callum Wilson | Newcastle | £6.5m

A star of buy gone seasons with Bournemouth has found a new club after relegation and will be sure to finish where he left off in the Premier League.
