Top 5 Netflix Films To Binge This Weekend

With the weekend weather forecast looking less than desirable, we’re swapping our BBQ tongs for the TV remote and having a much-needed weekend in. Don’t worry, Netflix has got us covered after releasing some top notch titles this week for us to binge all weekend long.

1. Project Power

New to Netflix today starring Jamie Foxx, a man on a mission who teams up with local cop and a teenage dealer to hunt the source behind a dangerous new pill that gives users unpredictable temporary superpowers.

2. Searching

Following a desperate father’s journey in his search for missing 16-year-old daughter, this mysterious thriller is played out entirely through computer screens and iPhones as he breaks into her laptop to trace her digital footprints. Rated a whopping 92% on Rotten Tomatoes, this film is a must-see.

3. Imitation Game

With big names starring like Benedict Cumberbatch and Keira Knightly you know its going to be a good one. Set during WW2 the story follows a mathematician and his team of cryptanalysts as they set to break the Germans’ notorious Enigma code. If that doesn’t tempt you to watch, maybe the eight Oscar nominations will?

4. Blackkklansman

Directed by Spike Lee, this incredible American crime film based on a true story and set in the 70s follows the first African-American detective in his mission to infiltrate and expose local Ku Klux Klan. Lee cleverly captures the issues of both past and present with a balance of comedy and shock. A must see.

5. Upgrade

Packed full of crime, action and adventure. The story follows a man paralysed and widowed after a violent mugging who is offered surgery that involves implanting a high tech chip that will allow him to walk again… and get revenge.
