Why You Need To Watch "Tenet" Right Now

If you are already a Nolan fan then you will love his new film Tenet. After being favourably compared to Inception, and following his love of time-twisting narratives, Tenet fully submerges you into its complex plot from the get go and gives fans more to ponder than ever before. It will leave you feeling entertained, confused and needing more.

Tenet follows the complex and mind bending plot of a secret agent who must manipulate time in order to prevent the end of the world. Explained by Warner Bros. as a journey through a twilight world of international espionage on a mission that will unfold in something beyond real time. Not time travel, but inversion.

The word “tenet” is a palindrome – spelt the same way backwards as it is forwards. Analogously, in the film whereby the team sent to fight for the survival of the entire world are split in two. With half moving backwards through time, and the other half moving forwards through time in order meet in the middle and pull off their mission.

Directed by Christopher Nolan and starring big names like John David Washington, Robert Pattinson and Michael Caine, there has been no expense sparred in time or money. With Nolan taking more than five years to write the screenplay, from the opening scene you can tell the sheer amount of thought and money that has been plugged into this blockbuster film. Jam packed full of action, adventure, drama, mystery and suspense this film has it all. After being delayed three times due to Covid-19, it was finally released yesterday (26th August 2020), and is the first major picture to be unveiled in the wake of the pandemic.
