Exclusive Interview

We've recently partnered with Lincoln City Football Club for this season, as they began welcoming football supporters back to the stadiums, offering exclusive offers and exciting giveaways for the team and fans.

As part of our partnership we were given the opportunity to interview Lincoln City Football Club manager Michael Appleton to talk all things football, fashion and pop culture.

Of course, we initially spoke football, and after a fantastic result against Cambridge the weekend previous, it seemed the team and fans were all in high spirits. So, when we asked Michael his thoughts on where the team are headed next, it looks as though Lincoln City Football Club are aiming for a Top 12 finish this season; realistic and well within the capabilities of the team. Having grown up around football before his career began, he recounts on occasions when managers have “overpromised and under delivered”, so Michael kept it refreshingly realistic.

As a big fan of Stone Island and C.P. Company we came prepared with a selection of C.P. Company garments for Michael to try, including the Chrome-R Overshirt in Khaki, and he told us his staple wardrobe piece always included a statement jacket- easy to dress up or down.

We didn’t just leave it there though, we spoke with him about music and films too and it may come as no surprise, having grown up in Salford, that the Manchester music scene features heavily in his music repertoire- including bands such as The Stone Roses and Oasis, as well as Blossoms, The Courteeners and Arctic Monkeys.
