STONE ISLAND Metal Lamina Ripstop Heat Reactive Jacket V005H Malachite

A stand out piece from Stone Island arrives this season, be quick, it won't hang around for long. The Metal Lamina Ripstop Heat Reactive Jacket drops in the Malachite colourway. Made from a nylon micro ripstop fabric, externally resin-coated with a special pigment that changes colour based on the temperature, and laminated on the inside with an aluminium film. The heat-reactive pigment molecules in the resin alter the passage of light and shift in tone in response to heat, becoming lighter as the temperature rises and returning to darker tones as it drops. The aluminium lamination lends structure to the nylon, enhancing the thermal insulation properties of the garment, and lending a slightly three-dimensional, textured appearance to the surface. When the temperature does rise, you can stay cool thanks to open arm holes under the armpits and ventilation flaps to the back with a mesh lining. If the weather does change, this jacket is fitted with a shaped hood with a visor and elasticated drawcord at the contour and crown to keep you nice and dry. Fitted with vertical zip flaps that open onto vertical mesh-lined chest pockets, fastened on the bottom with two snaps, over bellows hand pockets to keep all of the essentials safe and secure. Designed with a front yoke with flaps, adjustable cuffs with a flap a hook-and-loop fastening and a panelled sleeve construction for enhanced comfort and fit. A two-way zip closure fastens under a snap placket with two smaller snaps at the collar keeping out the elements. Finished with the signature Stone Island special process badge to the left sleeve.
