Brand in Focus: Boss Clothing
on Thu, Jan 02, 20
Hugo Boss founded the eponymous German fashion brand in 1924. Since it was founded, the luxury fashion house has always believed that no matter what the day or occasion, the customer should always be perfectly dressed. In 1970, they launched their core sub brand, Boss Clothing, which combines classic business wear with casual styles. In 1988, their fragrance line was launched which has since become a popular choice for both men and women, and this was followed by an introduction of a womenswear line in 2000, and children’s clothing in 2006/2007. Now with over 1000 retail stores worldwide, Boss is one of the most popular designer clothing brands, and you can find a selection of their best menswear pieces here at EQVVS.
Autumn/Winter 2019 Collection
At EQVVS, we love to bring you the best pieces from the latest collections, and with the AW19 collection, we’ve done just that. The key features the AW19 brought us involved precision detail, sculptural silhouettes and a stripped back colour palette. Designed to fit modern men with modern lifestyles, the range of Boss clothing is perfect for creating stylish business outfits and casual daytime looks.
An easy way to create that sculptured silhouette look is with a stylish pair of slim fit jeans. We particularly love these Slim Fit Delaware Jeans (£85). Cut to create a flattering shape, these jeans will ensure you look on trend, while the super stretch denim provides plenty of comfort. Pair with your favourite shirt to create a sleek smart casual look, or dress down by pairing with a classic tee and sneakers.
Boss clothing really showcased their love for precision detail when it came to their AW19 collection, and that was even the case with their casual wear too. We love this Casual Relaxed Fit Hoodie (£149), which fits the bill perfectly. To the naked eye, it may appear as just a black hoodie, but there’s plenty more to it. Not only does this hoodie feature kangaroo pocket and a stylish forest print lining within the hood, but it’s perfect for anyone wanting to remain on the eco-friendly side when it comes to fashion. It’s completely plastic free, making it a great choice for not just the fashion conscious but the environmentally conscious too. Finished with the classic Boss logo on the front, this hoodie takes those little things into account perfectly.
Paired Back Colour Palette
At the forefront of their AW19 collection, Boss used a paired back palette when it came to colour choices for their key pieces. Think black, navy, white and grey - perfect for keeping things neutral and laid back. For something versatile and easy to wear, the Casual Relaxed Fit T-Shirt (£45) is a great choice. Available in dark blue or classic white, this supersoft cotton tee is designed to keep you comfortable all while staying stylish.
One of the popular sub-brands featured in the Boss clothing range is Boss Bodywear. This is a range of premium sports leisure wear that features classic cuts and bold designs, ultimately creating fashion with a sporty twist. One of our favourites is this Regular Fit UPF 50+ T-Shirt (£31.20), available in a whole selection of bold and bright colours, but we especially love this refreshing bright blue. It’s designed with the beach in mind, as it’s finished with UPF 50 to keep you protected from sun damage, making it a great choice for your summer holiday. Of course, any stylish menswear look needs those finishing touches, and these Cosmopool Tenn MX Lowtop Trainers (£127) are one way to do it properly. They’ll bring a super-stylish contrast to your favourite dark jeans, and the rubber soles will keep things comfy too. Plus, they’re even equipped with moisture absorption and odour control, making them perfect for all day wear too.
Of course this is just a taster of the range of Boss clothing and accessories we have available right now at EQVVS. Remember, we only stock the very best pieces and styles from your favourite brands, so you can ensure that whatever you do and wherever you are, you’ll be looking bang on trend.
