EQVVS Lookbook #011 | Summer Lovin' with Carhartt WIP
For those of you plagued by the drama of trying to find the happy medium with the air-con in your office, have you heard of an Overshirt?
We're big fans of the enigmatic ‘shirt-jacket’ hybrid layering staple in all of it's various guises over at EQVVS HQ. With Overshirts of cotton or nylon bursting out of the seams of our warehouse all year round, we thought we'd share a few little shots on how they fare in the summer-time in this outfit for the lookbook. The answer, a lightweight chambray.
And even if you're in Suit and Tie territory at work, you're not out of luck, we like to plan all of our summer outfits with 3 other things in mind.. BBQ, Beer Garden, Benidorm (or any other holiday destination).

If you've not heard of chambray, it's a soft, lightweight cotton fabric that looks a bit like denim, feels a bit like a loose, breezy linen and goes down a treat in the summer months as a layering option.
If you have heard of it, here's a little bit of Carhartt WIP flavour made out of the airy stuff.
This one is part of their recent summer 23 drop that features the little heart emblem in place of the usual big ‘C’.

A little graphic tee for the hardworking geezer (not an appreciation tee for the family favourite, salad-bar-professional UK chain restaurant). It's a relaxed fit, short sleeved, white t-shirt- does what you want it to really.
Prepster Stretch Twill Chino Shorts by Polo Ralph Lauren
Ralph always has a little bit of a preppy, Ivy League flavour. But in the interest of a Ralph history lesson, we thought we'd take some inspo from Polo Ralph Lauren and its Streetwear influence in the 1980's and 1990's, and how it was picked up by sub-cultures. We're talking punks to skaters to 90's hip-hop.
