How to find your perfect size in Universal Works menswear

With a collection of Jackets & Coats, Sweats & Hoodies and Knitwear, and a clear vision of the Universal Works man, the only thing left to make your online shop an easy experience is a proper clear and concise size guide. So, we've done it.

Launching their first collection in 2009 at David Keyte's (UW co-founder, director, designer) kitchen table, Universal Works is inspired by his formative years growing up in Nottingham. Characterised by quality craftsmanship, workwear cuts and proper good fabrications, the Universal Works collection understands heritage, while always being inspired by the needs and aesthetics of the contemporary man.

This Universal Works size guide should have you covered across our entire collection, including Jumpers & Knitwear and Sweats & Hoodies as well as the Jackets & Coats department.

To determine your size, start by measuring your neck, waist, chest, and hips. This’ll give you a rough idea of the size to look out for.

While all sizes are approximate, each garment is designed where the body measurement correlates to a general garment size.

What to expect with Universal Works Regular Fit?

Pretty much what it says on the tin. It's a regular fit, no fuss and designed to fit you comfortably through the body, with enough room to layer up if you need to. Across the Sweats & Hoodies, Knitwear and Jackets & Coats collection, these styles stay true to their workwear roots and their contemporary silhouette.

How will Universal Works Relaxed Fit look?

The relaxed fit garments create a laidback, comfortable silhouette through the body, without sacrificing on their appearance. Loose from the shoulders, with a few extra inches across the chest width, these styles are as smart as they are comfortable, but there's definitely no harm in sizing down if you want something a bit closer fitting through the body.
