EQVVS Lookbook #009 | Outdoor Enthusiasts Unite

Good ol' Raisins and Peanuts

At EQVVS HQ, we're all admittedly inner-city dwellers, slaves to the reliance of a car ride to work over a good stretch of our legs.

But as we all give agency to brands like Carhartt WIP, Gramicci and Columbia, all coming through as conquistadors of Outdoor-inspired wares, we've gotta give it to them, they're as functional as they are cool.

The name for it? Gorp-core. You've maybe heard the term floating around the ether, it stands for Good Ol' Raisins and Peanuts (GORP) because you know what else cargo pockets are good for? Trail Mix.

So keep your eyes peeled for neutral, earthy tones, a bit of smart layering and pockets on pockets (trail mix and swiss army knife approved?) in this lookbook outfit.

Outdoors-y bits for a weekend hike

G-Shorts T-Shirt by Gramicci

Gramicci are one of those brands that are high on the agenda when it comes to outdoor inspired clothing. Their G-Shorts and G-Pants are notorious among the gorp-core aesthetic but their T-Shirts definitely take on tantalising graphics that we know everyone loves and puts them on the front back and sides of their collection.

Relaxed Fit Charter Shirt by Carhartt WIP

A Carhartt WIP shirt, because having one of these in your carousel of clothing is like capturing lightening in a bottle.

Under a Gilet, over a T-Shirt, buttoned up on it;s own, that's seriously versatile clobber.

Dearborn Canvas Vest by Carhartt WIP

A little extra layer of protection perhaps? It's technically summer, so not quite tundra-territory, but it's still reasonable to anticipate a bit of a weather drop on occasion. Gilets are the solution and this ones workwear-y, so you know it's equally functional as it is cool.

Sisla2 Cargo Shorts by BOSS

Even as we try to push Cargos as a trending, everyday outfit- it's place probably does lie predominantly in the Peak District.

Carhartt WIP Essentials Bag: Yeah ok this one's purely aesthetic, what could you possibly need to put in the bag that won't go in any one of the pockets at your disposal.

Bucket Hat: This ones giving funky fisherman, on account of the beige. But it's cool and we firmly believe there's a place for a bucket hat outside of a gimmick-y 90's rave.
