Outfit of the Week | The Cord Overshirt

Last week, we hashed it out with one another in the EQVVS HQ office and played Rock, Paper, Scissors over some our favourite outfits from our recent campaign shoots. We ended up having such a great time, that we're gonna make a habit out of it. Next time, we're playing Tic Tac Toe.

No corduroy slander here, thank you.

Every year, a new decade-gone-by era makes an appearance on the fashion scene and honestly, as long as the early 2000's isn't next, we're happy at EQVVS. With a 70's and 90's revival swirling in the metaphorical fashion cocktail, we've got an outfit that's a pretty decent combination of both.

A fabric that once haunted our nightmares (through the coffee breath and piercing glare of that one weird science teacher at school) corduroy has made something of a comeback.

So, in the interest of sticking up for our cotton 'wale' friend, the ol' corduroy overshirt- this one's both stylish and available in a couple of other colourways. Though we didn't style it in the 70's tan brown (with the elbow patches), the textured fabric still gives an air of that rugged, masc look that corduroy had way in the beginning.

And then, the 90's twist comes in the form of light wash, baggy jeans. Y'know we're not all Carhartt WIP Cargos and Dickies Work Pants here at EQVVS. We're partial to a baggy, loose leg jean. Whoever keeps telling you that jeans are uncomfortable, is wearing the wrong pair. We ditched spray-on skinny a long time ago, in favour for a relaxed leg with a comfortable fit.

All that's left are the accessories:

A crossbody bag- naturally.

HOFF Lexington Sneakers, a new sneaker shape makes it's way to the ring.

The kind of angry, model face that makes people in the street gasp in shock because you're so intimidatingly cool and on trend. (Our model is actually like a loveable border collie, but look at his angry face- doesn't he look the part?)
